What Else? More pics, of course!

Here's our beautiful little girl modeling a possible Easter dress. She just had to show it off for her Nana and Papa who were in town! Although most days, around the house, she can be found looking like this. The crown and earrings are a must. Of course, so is only ONE glass slipper. She's got to be just like Cinderella after all!
Here's Abby with her good pal Ava!
She LOVES bathtime!

Love this picture of her with her cousin Clark. Notice how she's opening her mouth too? Too funny! I think she could have fed him all night long if we would have let her. And I'm also certain Clark would have eaten all night too. He was one hungry little boy!
Miss Hollywood herself.
We both got our H1N1 shots last week, and Abby was not a happy camper. Here she is emulating how she felt when she got the shot.
Luckily the nurse gave Abby three stickers, and she requested a red lollipop, so that most certainly helped things! Here's our little Roo back to her happy, normal self. :)
I didn't mention to her that she has to go back for another round in three weeks. That will just be our little secret, ok? :)
I go back to my OB on Tuesday to hear Little Peanut's heartbeat. Hopefully she will have an easier time finding it than she did last time! And then, the first week of March, we will have our big sonogram to find out if Abby will have a little brother or a little sister. If you ask her what she wants, her answer changes daily. Hopefully she will be happy with whatever comes her way! :)
Stay warm, everyone! :)

I Promise She Has Real Friends!

Gosh, I love this girl.

Random Pics from December

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

I'm going back to last year for these pics, but I've been meaning to post some of Abby's goings on in December. Here's a taste of how she spent her days before ringing in the New Year:

She loves to color...but after about 10 minutes, she gets bored. Can you tell that she likes coloring faces and shoes best??

Dora looks a little Satanistic here, don't you agree?
Before Christmas, she helped me "bake" and decorate cookies. (My idea of baking is slice-and-bake cookies. :) ) Here is our finished product. Abby was in charge of decorating with sprinkles. :)
The Sprinkle Queen
I asked Abby to get me "a little bit of toilet" paper. This is what she interpreted as "a little bit."
Also in December, Abby got to see Santa's distant cousin. With an orange beard, I decided he looked more like a relative than the real thing.
She also got to see Santa's reindeer which she imformed us were very stinky!
Then she got to ride a duck. It's not every day that this can occur.
She also got to wear her shirt she made at school. The antlers are her handprints, the face her footprint, and all the lights are the other kids' fingerprints. What a cute idea, I thought. Here she is practining her future as a T-shirt model.
In December, Abby enjoyed spending time with her two favorite girls, Millie and Winnie. Here she is with her "pillow."
And lastly, Abby garnered a true obsession with our Nativity scene over the holidays. Baby Jesus went on car trips with us to the mall, joined her at the table while she ate breakfast one morning, and other unusual goings on. In fact, I uttered the following sentence (honestly):
"Abby, do not put Baby Jesus in the syrup!"
While she preffered to play with Jesus, his parents were not left out. Apparently Joseph was fond of flying, as one morning I found him like this:

Ah Roo, you give me so much to blog about! Thank you for always keeping us entertained!! :)

Christmas Pictures

Saturday, January 2, 2010

Sorry for the delay in blogging. I wish I had some grand excuse, like I'm jet-lagged from traveling the world....or because the President needed my help with some concerns of national importance. Alas, that is not the case. My lame excuse has been nausea. Enough said.

Christmas this year was the most fun, and we spent an entire week in Longview. How magical it was to view Christmas through the eyes of a 2 1/2 year old too!! There's nothing quite like it. Instead of writing a lot about our holiday, I thought I'd just give you a photo essay. I hope you and yours had a wonderful time this Christmas as well!

Abby with The Big Guy!
Our little Christmas angel

Roo and me on Christmas Eve. We had two days of present opening!
She loved her Talking Elmo from BeBe and Pops. Luckily it comes with an On/Off switch! :)
LOOOOOOOve her expression when she opened her gifts. She made this face every time. It was like every present was her favorite. Too cute!
A Cinderella Barbie! Yay!
Showing off her Dress-Up clothes. Cinderella holding Cinderella. There's no such thing as overload when you're two, right??
The Princess and me
Is it obvious she thinks she's a real princess?! Abby with her Baboo!!
Abby and her Nana. They have too much fun together! (Side note: We are SO blessed to have such wonderful families who love one another....so much, in fact, that we celebrate holidays all together, as one big happy family!)
There's that crazy Elmo again!
Here's Abby with her BeBe and Pops before Christmas. Abby playing Barbies with her Papa. Papa Rick, what are you doing to that Barbie doll?! :)
Here's her Cousin Clark checking out Abby's Barbie Cinderella. Too funny of a picture not to share! :)
How cute is this little guy?!
And the best present of all? Snow when we came back home! Here's little Roo experiencing her first snowfall of the year!

And here's one last picture taken today when Clark came over. I know I'm biased, but I think they're super cute cousins!!! :)

There's so much to write about how great our Christmas was, but Abby needs a nap (and perhaps her Mama too!), so that will have to wait for another time. Matt and I were blessed with a wonderful 2009, and we're excited about what 2010 has to offer. It's hard to imagine that next Christmas, we'll have another peanut around! Wow! Here's to a very happy and blessed 2010! :)
